TRX  Yoga - Introduction

Background

Total Resistance Exercises ("TRX") refers to a specialised form of suspension training that utilises equipment developed by former US Navy SEAL Randy Hetrick.

TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously.  It requires the use of the TRX® Suspension Trainer™, a performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete the exercises.

Suspension training

TRX suspension training is TRX Training's proprietary collection of unique bodyweight exercise movements, coaching cues and programming principles.  These movements differ from traditional exercises, as either the user's hands or feet are supported by one anchor point while the opposite end of the body is contacting the ground.  Using the TRX® Suspension Trainer™, the desired percentage of  body weight is loaded on the targeted muscle groups and animated as a movement.

The TRX single anchor point attachment provides the ideal blend of support and freedom of movement to train strength, endurance, balance.
